Hi,

I sucessfully connect the below pressure transmitter to MINITAURs.

http://www.gentekelektronik.com.tr/urunler/oem-basinc-transmitterleri.html

At the channel setup page, which option should I choose for the low pass filter. What is the logic behind it? Also are there any options I need to adjust?

Cheers,

Volkan

I forgot to add, I have two of these pressure transmitters. One is for 0 - 100 bar range and the other is for 0 -250 bar range.

Hi,

there is a whole chapter dedicated to filtering in the Sirius technical reference manual, which I think describes the logic behind the process quite nicely. In short, if you have a regular, 8 channel Sirius, then the data coming from the device should already be alias free. You can however introduce aliasing effects into your data by using custom sample rate dividers. This happens when your individual channel sampling rate is different from the main acquisition rate, and Dewesoft will simply discard the unnecessary samples. You can make sure that the data is alias free by using a software filter. In most cases, the Anti-aliasing filter (IIR) is the best option, as it will automatically adjust the cut-off frequency depending on the reduced rate.

The Sirius Technical reference manual can be found here: https://www.dewesoft.com/download?file=SIRIUS_Tech...

There's also a new AAF option, which doesn't introduce a phase shift into the data. More about that can be learned in this document: https://www.dewesoft.com/download?file=Zero%20phas...
