Good morning,

I need some help in which could be the best wiring solution for a 4 wire Lorenz torquemeter with +-10V analog output.

Attached you can find the datasheet.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Best regards,

Axier

Dear Axier,

first, I want to apologize for the late response.

I have checked the specifications of the sensor and can confirm the Dewe-43A is suitable for this torque sensor.

In the picture below I have marked how to connect the sensor wires to the DSUB9 connector:

The Dewe-43A has a sensor power supply (12V, total limit 350 mA) shared between: 8xAI, 8xCounters, 2xCAN.

If you require any further information, feel free to contact us.

Best Regards.

Rok

Dear Rok,

Thanks a lot for your response.

Just a little question. Should I make a bridge between 1-6 and 3-8 in the DSub9?

Thanks and best regards,

Dear Axier,

sorry for the missing detail. Dewe-43A has also a sensor excitation ±5V. It is mostly used for bridge measurements.

There is no bridge needed, the pins (1-6 and 3-8 on the DSUB9) can be left unconnected.

Best Regards.

Rok
