Hi there.

I am having trouble getting my recently-purchased Sirius HD-STGS to properly read 2-wire strain gauges in quarter bridge configuration. I would be grateful if someone could run me through the exact connections/wiring required for this steup.

Thanks in advance,

M

Hello,

your 2-wire strain gauge should be connected in a so called Three wire configuration, which compensates for changing resistance coming from the wiring. One of the 2 wires from the strain gauge should be split at the sensor and its 2 ends connected to Pin (5) and Pin (2). The second wire is only split next to the amplifier and then connected to Pin (3) and Pin (8).

You can also check the wiring diagram in the channel setup:

I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to aske further questions.
