Hello,

I am working on connecting a voltage sensor to my DAQ system. I currently have a SIRIUS-i STGM model DAQ system and want to connect it to a DSI-V-20 connector. I attached an image of the equipment I am working with. Can someone help provide me with how I should be making this connection? Thanks!!

Hi Kevin,

Firstly refer to the technical reference manual from your sensor which wires are useful for your measurement. DSI-V-200 has two Inputs IN+ and IN- so I imagine you should create an intermediate part to reduce the sensor's BNC connectors to just one pin on the adapter. Another option is to remove connectors from the wires and solder them to just one BNC connector.

If you need any further help please provide us also the datasheet of the sensor.

My apologies. Could you recommend a connection for the DSI-V-20? The most we will ever need is 20V and 30A. I was looking into some BNC to Alligator Clips or BNC to Pigtails. Is there any recommendations you could make? Or better BNC connectors to measure voltage that we could be using?

Hi Kevin,

For measuring high voltages I would recommend other than alligator clips. A better option is soldering the connectors directly.

Best regards
