external sample rate signal for high speed camera.

Hello,

We are trying out a DS-CAM-600

1) Is it possible to provide an external hardware signal to the sync port as sample rate trigger.?

For example to use an encoder zero-signal on the camera so that a picture is taken every time at the same angle of a rotating cylinder.

This would act as a kind of stroboscope function.

The rotational speed is variable.

We want to have a minimum of stored pictures.

2) Can a dewe 43 use a digital counter input as a sync signal, so that we can vary the sample rate externally ?

Then we could do measurements directly in the angular domain instead of the time domain.

Any suggestions ?

kind regards,
